When I was 10 I got my first microscope. I spend about the first five minutes looking at the slides that they gave you with the microscope. And they were cool. But then I did what every 10 year old would with a microscope does, I started putting really gross stuff under it. I tried a lot of things, but my favorite was spit. I know it sounds gross, and it was at first; but it was just really cool seeing all that was going on in my spit.
Hopefully you’re not super grossed out right now and can still get the point. The point is that there is way more going on than we can comprehend. Our tendency is always to look at things and think we grasp all that’s happening, when in reality there is far more beneath the surface.
Ephesians 3:10 “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.”
Every time the Church gathers. Be it in a Church building, a school, a home, a tent, or wherever; there is a statement being made from the highest point in heaven to the lowest pit of hell that Jesus reigns, and he’s returning soon. That’s a lot bigger than simply singing songs, preaching, and classes.
