What I Learned at Drive ’11

Over the past 3 days we had the privilege of taking several leaders from CrossPoint down to the Drive Conference at North Point Community Church.  It was an awesome 3 days of learning, worship, and refining our vision as a Church.  Here’s the highlights of what I learned:

  1. As a Church we are stewards not just of the message of eternal life, but we are stewards of the message of a better way of life.
  2. Our role as a Church is to move people from 1- benefiting from to 2- participating in to 3- sacrificing for the mission and vision of our Church.
  3. We must be story finders and story tellers.
  4. We must always err on the side of grace.
  5. Jesus didn’t come to make a point, he came to make a difference.
  6. Every celebration reinforces a value.
  7. As a Church we must walk towards the messes.
  8. Churches gravitate towards preserving and away from advancing.
  9. Great visions are accomplished by making progress one day at a time.
  10. The Church is SO much bigger than me.

That’s my list!
